I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and currently call Portland, Oregon, my home. Over the years, I’ve also lived in Austin, Texas, and Asheville, North Carolina. I studied Environmental Science and Journalism at the University of Oregon and later earned an MBA in Sustainability from Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco.
Travel has always been a core part of my life. I’ve explored 28 countries across four continents, from trekking the Andes in Peru to diving in the reefs of Thailand. My bucket list includes experiencing the Northern Lights in Scandinavia and hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
When I’m not traveling, you’ll likely find me outdoors. I’m an avid hiker and have completed sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. I also enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding on Oregon’s rivers and lakes. In winter, I trade my hiking boots for snowshoes, exploring the snowy trails of Mount Hood.
Cycling is another passion of mine. I ride a mix of road and gravel bikes and have participated in the Seattle to Portland (STP) ride multiple times. I also volunteer with a local cycling club to promote bike safety and organize community rides.
At home, I have a love for creative projects. I enjoy woodworking, upcycling furniture, and dabbling in photography. My weekends often include trips to local farmers’ markets, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and tending to my small garden.
I share my home with my partner, Alex, who works as a software developer, and our rescue dog, Luna, a quirky border collie mix with endless energy. Alex and I love hosting dinner parties, often bringing together friends and family to share good food and better conversation.
Professionally, I’ve worn many hats. I started as a writer for an environmental magazine, transitioned into nonprofit management, and eventually moved into marketing and communications for mission-driven startups. Most recently, I’ve been leading content strategy for a green tech company that specializes in sustainable energy solutions. I find deep satisfaction in aligning my work with my personal values of environmental stewardship and social impact.
I thrive in roles that demand creativity, adaptability, and a focus on meaningful outcomes. Whether it’s helping a business grow, tackling a DIY home project, or planning my next adventure, I’m always seeking opportunities to learn and make a positive difference.
